Extractions

Tooth extractions involve removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. Our dentists will always endeavour to save natural teeth where we can but there are some instances where tooth extraction is needed. These include:

  • teeth that are decayed or damaged beyond repair
  • gum disease that is severe and no longer treatable
  • as part of orthodontic treatment to align the teeth
  • wisdom teeth may need extracting if they are impacted or don’t have enough room to come through
