Improving Access at Our Practice

Over the first part of 2026, we’ll be making some important improvements to the practice that we’re really excited to share with you.

Due to our neighbours OxHome Estate Agents recently relocating to Cumnor, we now have the opportunity to extend into the neighbouring unit. This will allow us to significantly improve both accessibility and patient experience within the practice.

The neighbouring unit will become our new, more spacious reception area, allowing us to reconfigure the existing space more effectively. As part of this work:

  • A new ground-floor dental surgery will be created
  • A ground-floor toilet will be installed
  • A CBCT scanner will be installed where our current reception area is
  • The basement of the neighbouring property will provide new staff and office facilities

While our historic Georgian building has lots of character, we know the stairs can be challenging for some patients. These changes will allow us to care more comfortably for patients with mobility difficulties, those using walking aids, and anyone who finds stairs difficult.

Work is planned to commence in February, with completion expected in the spring. The practice will remain open throughout most of the build, although there may be a small number of days when we need to close to safely carry out certain stages of work. If you have an appointment that may be affected, we will contact you directly in January to make alternative arrangements. We’re very excited about what this means for the future of the practice and look forward to sharing progress with you.
